My Blue Cuban Sky: My Little Moments of Magic Away from the Stage!

Beatriz Alvares

¡Hola a todos, my stars! It's me, Beatriz, here again, and my heart is always dancing, even when I'm not on stage! You see me under the spotlights, my voice soaring, my feet barely touching the ground... But you know, even a dancer needs her moments of "silence" for the music to keep beating inside. Today, I want to open a little window into my other life, the one I live when the hotel lights go out. That's where I recharge my soul, where I find new melodies, and where my wildest dreams get even more colorful!

The Taste of My Cuba: Simple Flavors, Giant Happiness!

When I'm not rehearsing or singing, my first stage is my abuela's kitchen or the small streets of Havana. Here, even the simplest food is a celebration! Imagine the taste of a ripe, juicy mango, dripping down your fingers, or the aroma of strong cafecito that wakes up the whole house in the morning. I get lost in the markets, where the colors of the fruits and the laughter of the vendors are a symphony. Every dish, every flavor, is a story of family, sharing, and sunshine. That's my real luxury: these simple moments, full of love and flavors that remind me where I come from and who I am.

My Streets, My Secret Stages: Where the Music Never Stops

You think I only dance on stage? ¡Qué va! My real stages are the streets of Havana. When I walk around, every street corner is a new melody. A group of old musicians playing son in a square, children improvising a rumba with tin cans, neighbors singing while preparing dinner... Music is everywhere; it breathes, it lives! I watch the people, their steps, their smiles, their wordless stories. That's where I find inspiration for my own dances, for my songs. It's the raw, authentic rhythm of Cuba that nourishes me and gives me that crazy energy for my dreams.

The Ocean, My Mirror: Dreaming Big in Front of the Infinite

When I need to breathe, to dream very, very big, I go to the seaside. The Malecón, or one of our secret beaches. The ocean is my mirror. I look at the water, so blue, so immense, and I feel so small and so big at the same time. The sound of the waves is like a lullaby whispering to me that anything is possible. That's where I let my mind soar, where I imagine the lights of Broadway, the cameras of the big screen. The ocean knows no limits, and neither do I. It's my place to clear my head, to let my dreams grow, and to remind myself that the world is so vast, full of stages waiting for me.

Old Movies and New Songs: My Dream Laboratory

Even in my free time, my dream never leaves me! I love watching old movies, especially musicals, those where dancers and singers shine so brightly. I watch them, again and again, and I learn. How they move, how they tell a story with their eyes, with their voice. And I listen to music, all kinds of music! Not just Cuban. Songs from here and elsewhere, melodies that make me want to create, to sing, to dance in a new way. It's my little secret laboratory, where I mix inspirations, where I work on my ideas, even without realizing it. That's how I prepare for my big leap!

Conclusion: My Life, My Melody!

So there you have it, my friends. Even when I'm not on stage, my life is a melody. These little moments, these flavors, these street rhythms, these dreams facing the ocean, and these hours spent learning... all of it gives me the strength, the joy, and the inspiration to keep dancing and singing with all my heart. Because every little moment of magic in my Cuban life is one more note in the grand song of my dream.

And you? What are your magical moments? Share them with me!

¡Hasta pronto, con un abrazo fuerte!
