THE BARTENDER'S TALES
Physical aspects:
Bastien has style, but is not particularly a beautiful man. He’s always dressed in black and white. When he talks, his presence is imposing.
Psychological aspects:
He is like a psychologist who can understand everyone just by looking at them and listening to their conversation for a few minutes. Similar to a concierge, he has a need to please and tries to solve his customer’s current “issue”, by telling them a story which will help them find a solution.
His history:
Bastien chose to become a barman because he liked the tricks they did, throwing bottles around. But what made him stay was the social part. Younger, he saved someone’s life, preventing him to commit suicide. He got to know because the customer came back, years later, to thank him (he’d become a popular actor by then). He is a great listener and he finds is peace of mind, by bringing it to others.

THE STORYLINE
A bartender, in a hotel bar, entertains his guests by telling them stories about the country they are heading to next.

Bartenders are like psychologists: They listen to their customers, keeping the conversation going through questions. And sometimes they give advice.
​
This bartender understands well the various individuals, couples and partners that sit in front of him. He feels their moods (dilemma, conflicts, love, etc.) and brings them solutions by telling a story about where they are heading to.
​
Once it is done, he serves them the liquor of the country (found inside the story), explaining the mix he made, before they head for their plane.

Different every episode
The sidekicks of the baretnder will be different, in each episode. Sometimes, it will be a single individual, a couple and other shows will feature larger groups.

Varying themes
Because there will be different individuals in front of him, in various situations, the theme of the story the bartender will tell will vary greatly. For a couple, it might be about love, for a sports team, about football, handball and other sports and for single individual, different topis related to life.
Uderstanding his customers
Bastien will adapt to his customers. He will be just like a psychologist, looking to understand the mind of the people he has in front of him, to provide them with the stpry and drink that they need.
